Plan Your Visit
Health & Safety at the Museum of Boulder is a top priority: We are working diligently to navigate and respond to the safety of all who experience our Museum during this time. Please see the Boulder County Department of Health website for the latest local guidelines.
What we have in place:
- We are disinfecting and cleaning to meet guidelines.
- Our employees are conducting personal temperature checks before coming into work each day.
- We require facial coverings that cover the nose and mouth at all times for visitors ages 2 and up. We have masks available, if needed.
- We have added plexiglass barriers at our Guest Service desk.
- We offer contactless check-in options online, over the phone and in person.
- We have prevented the use of drinking water fountains.
- We have turned off or cordoned some of the interactive, touchable exhibit elements, ie. virtual reality.
- Staff members are monitoring the number of guests in each of our spacious galleries.
- We maintain our ventilation systems.
What we ask of you:
- Avoid visiting if you have any symptoms or have been diagnosed with COVID – 19 within the past 14 days, or if you have been in close contact with someone infected or experiencing symptoms.
- Please self-screen, including checking your temperature before planning your visit.
- Wear your facial coverings over the nose and mouth at all times.
- Observe and maintain a 6 foot distance from others not in your party.
- Wash hands and use provided hand sanitizer.
- Use the finger and hand coverings provided when using any interactives at the Museum.
- Each of our 8 restrooms are monitored and cleaned regularly.
- Be mindful of the paths used on stairways throughout the Museum.
- Use your elbow to operate the elevator buttons.
- Communicate with any Museum personnel any concerns or needs regarding your health and safety.
We look forward to welcoming visitors back into the Museum under strict health and safety regulations beginning in July. Tickets will be sold at the front desk and groups may need to wait if the Museum reaches capacity.
As in any public place, there is some risk of disease transmission. Let’s work together to keep our space safe! All Museum visitors must follow these simple guidelines:
- Only visit when you feel healthy. We’re not going anywhere!
- Wear a mask at all times. If you do not have a mask, we will provide you one. If you are unable to wear a mask due to a health issue, a full face shield can be worn instead.
- Maintain a 6-foot distance from visitors not in your party. Do not ride in the elevator with other groups.
- Observe all signage in the Museum. Follow the directions of gallery attendants if spaces become too full for your party.
- Wash your hands frequently and use finger cots for hands-on experiences.
We reserve the right to ask anyone not following these safety measures to leave the premises.
