Wolves are an important part of the ecosystem, yet throughout history they have been portrayed as tricksters and villains. Even in real life, ranchers and farmers hunted them almost to the point of extinction to protect their herds after moving into the wolves’ territory. Now that we know more about the important role wolves play in the environment, we are more conscious of how we interact with them and their space. The Museum of Boulder is excited to present the Living With Wolves exhibit to explore these ideas, and the associated programming will invite students to delve into these mysterious creatures and their mixed reputation.
