Museum of Boulder Joins the History Colorado Affiliate Network
The Museum of Boulder and History Colorado have a history of collaboration, exemplified by our joint effort on the “Beer HERE! Brewing the New West” exhibition. Now, we are deepening this partnership through a new initiative: the Affiliate Network. This program, spearheaded by History Colorado, aims to support, connect, and enhance the more than 300 history museums and organizations across the state. The network includes diverse members, such as the Overland Museum in Sterling, the Tread of Pioneers Museum in Steamboat Springs, and the Animas Museum in Durango, as well as the Aurora History Museum and Golden History Museums. The Museum of Boulder is excited to join this esteemed group.
History museums, regardless of size, along with historical societies and preservation organizations, face shared challenges and objectives in their mission to preserve and present Colorado’s rich history. The Affiliate Network recognizes the need for regular opportunities to foster learning, mutual support, and resource sharing among its members. By participating in this network, the Museum of Boulder will not only gain access to valuable resources and a dynamic peer community but will also actively contribute to the collective mission of enhancing the historical narrative of our beautiful Centennial State. Together, these organizations will work side by side to strengthen their impact on Colorado’s cultural heritage.
