Film Screening | The Art of Home

“Behind every work of art, there is a story.”

Don’t miss a free screening of the new documentary film The Art of Home: A Wind River Story

Art of Home asks: Why is art important? Does art influence a culture, or does a culture influence art? From modern art to beading and leather work to fancy dancing, drumming, and music, follow Wind River Indian Reservation artists through their creative process as they draw upon experience in creation.

Ken Williams (Arapaho) is a Santa Fe art celebrity and Sarah Ortegon (Shoshone) is an up-and-coming actress in Denver. Both artists travel to Wind River Reservation to reconnect with their ancestors and present their art work to a somewhat isolated community.

After the screening, stay for a Q+A with producer Jordan Dresser and featured artist Sarah Ortegon.
