This Black History Month join the NAACP Boulder County for screenings and discussions of Ava DuVernay’s masterful ‘When They See Us’.The NAACP Boulder County is thrilled to be working in partnership with the Korey Wise Innocence Project and the Museum of Boulder to present a month-long deep-dive into impacts of racism and criminal justice in the United States.
Each Sunday in February, we will watch one episode of Ava DuVernay’s ‘When They See Us’. Screenings will be followed by a presentation or discussion panel as we strive to understand the history, motivation, and life-long impacts of the disproportionate incarceration of Black people in the United States.
Seating is limited, so reserve your spots now.
Please Note: These films provide an unflinching look into a dehumanizing process, and are recommended for children 15 or older. Free childcare will be available for younger children.
