Annual Membership Meeting
All Museum of Boulder members are invited to attend the Annual Meeting. We appreciate your understanding to postpone our earlier scheduled meeting to June. We have moved this important meeting to a virtual or call-in format, and look forward to your presence.
A key highlight of 2019 was our decision to embark on strategic planning for the Museum with Brent Glass, LLC. We started the important framework in the months of November and December 2019 to engage community, board members and staff in the setting of priorities and goals. We are honored to present, Brent Glass, Director Emeritus of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, the world’s largest museum devoted to telling the story of America as our keynote speaker. Brent is a national leader in the preservation, interpretation, and promotion of history. He is a public historian who today provides management and consulting services to museums, historical organizations, and cultural institutions throughout the United States and in other countries. His most recent book, 50 Great American Places (Simon and Schuster, 2016), explores the power of essential historic sites and how they illuminate core themes in American history.
Please save the date to hear from Brent, Lori Preston, our Executive Director, Museum staff members, and Kathy Spear, Chair of the Board. We have important information to share with you about the monumental accomplishments of 2019, the challenges, including our pivot as it relates to the current pandemic, as well as our intention, focus and hope moving forward into 2020 and beyond…
Please join us on June 23rd at 5:00 pm! RSVP to Savannah Snody for call-in details: savannah@museumofboulder.org
